In Hebrews we read of the “great cloud of witnesses,” and
are encouraged in our work. Many of us have also been motivated by the guidance
of elder generations. For the wise guides in our lives, Lord, we give thanks.
We are blessed to have these grandparents, neighbors, or church
members who act as a living cloud. For their willingness to share their
experience and their faith, and for the support they provide, we ask blessings
for them.
Thank you, Lord, for the many ways you care for us.
Amen.
